Great day

It's been a great day. I came home from night shift and slept till noon. Night shift was great because one of our clients has gone on a mini vacation to Hope. Ya you hear me right. All the way to Hope. "D" is spending 2 nights at Hope. Apparently yesterday she was going to Dino Towne. Oh ya. I wasn't aware that there was so much activity in that town. What's nice is I have both those night shifts and it sure works for me. This afternoon George and I went grocery shopping and we sat under the apple tree and enjoyed the sun. In the evening Barb and I went to Walmart and we ran into Mark and Andrea and Drew. I can't believe it. One week later and she is out shopping. She looks really super. She says she has to use a breast pump and fill two bottles every three hours and put them in the fridge and take them all to the hospital to feed the twins. She is so brave. Well I'm going to go have a bubble bath and use all of Barb's gifts.Thank you Barb!. Have a nice week everyone.

Thank you

Thank you to all my supporters for their kind words. Things are a lot better today. We have buried the hatchet. Today we went to Vancouver for Barb's appt. with Dr. Leger. She has got to be one of the nicest people I know. She said everything is bang on which means it's all good. I came home and Barb and I went to London Drugs for stamps and stopped for a treat at Starbucks, thanks to Barb's gift certificate. It was a nice pick me up. I came home and washed the car and had a bite to eat. Now I'm planning to take a walk and drop Barb's mail in a mailbox somewhere on my travels. The sun is shining and I plan to take advantage of it. Wishing you all a good day.

God must have something real special for me

I'm actually getting really excited because I have had several really bad days. A person who I thought was a friend has put me down, humiliated me. me by making fun of me to another person, has basically made me feel totally worthless but for some strange reason thinks everything is totally fine because they feel if they are telling the truth about your faults then it's okay. So that means they don't feel they need to apologize.I'm glad God doens't judge us on our shortcomings or mistakes. I have forgiven this person totally and know that there is a great blessing waiting for me.

Not a good ending to a long week end

The week end started off so great. Friday I just relaxed at home all day. Barb and I walked to the neighbours, Nick and Maria. they are so pleasant. We enjoyed sitting on their deck eating creamsicles. Nick is dying of cancer but he says it's all in the Lord's hands. I truly admire that family. Saturday, George, Barb and I plus the dog went to Mill Lake and sat in the shade for a couple of hours watching all the people and activities. It was so relaxing. Sunday afternoon we took Barb's wheelchair and drove to Minter Gardens. It was so beautiful, all the many plants and flowers with beautiful background music. At the entrance is a gazebo and we sat there and ate ice-cream and listened to a dark fellow playing his instruments and singing so appropriately "How great Thou art". This morning I took Barb to the bus depot to pick up a package from Sonya, her sister. As I was backing out of my space I accidentally backed into this larger van which was carrying snacks for the machine inside the bus depot. I didn't damage his vehicle at all, but unfortunately my left cover for my tail light was broken off and I didquite a bit of bumper damage and the rear back side of the car. I was feeling so sad about Steve Irwin and it seems after this incident, I have been really very emotionally drained. It's a good thing tomorrow will be a brand new day. Praise the Lord. I wish all the children and their parents a great day tomorrow, first day of school.
