The week end started off so great. Friday I just relaxed at home all day. Barb and I walked to the neighbours, Nick and Maria. they are so pleasant. We enjoyed sitting on their deck eating creamsicles. Nick is dying of cancer but he says it's all in the Lord's hands. I truly admire that family. Saturday, George, Barb and I plus the dog went to Mill Lake and sat in the shade for a couple of hours watching all the people and activities. It was so relaxing. Sunday afternoon we took Barb's wheelchair and drove to Minter Gardens. It was so beautiful, all the many plants and flowers with beautiful background music. At the entrance is a gazebo and we sat there and ate ice-cream and listened to a dark fellow playing his instruments and singing so appropriately "How great Thou art". This morning I took Barb to the bus depot to pick up a package from Sonya, her sister. As I was backing out of my space I accidentally backed into this larger van which was carrying snacks for the machine inside the bus depot. I didn't damage his vehicle at all, but unfortunately my left cover for my tail light was broken off and I didquite a bit of bumper damage and the rear back side of the car. I was feeling so sad about Steve Irwin and it seems after this incident, I have been really very emotionally drained. It's a good thing tomorrow will be a brand new day. Praise the Lord. I wish all the children and their parents a great day tomorrow, first day of school.
