fun with friends

Well it's raining again in my corner of the world. I went out for breakfast this morning with my friends, Alice, Doreen and Mary. We were celebrating Mary and Alice's birthdays. We had lots of fun. We saw Eugene and Peter from the office. LOL. Got caught up on all the gossip. Alice's daughter-in-law is taking her one month old basby on a women's retreat to Norway for a week. that is the organization's headquarters. Northview is looking for a new senior pastor. Apparently the one they had was asked to resign. Doreen is happily basbysitting her youngest grandchild and loving every minute of it. And of course Mary and I are plugging along at our job.lol. Yesterday I had to take the Debbie and the Wendy to the foot specialist to have their toe nails cut. What a scream. Literally. You need to know miss Debbie to get that. Today when I get to work I have to take the Carl to his doctor. I have no idea where his office is or why I am taking him. I have a few of my own ideas but I'm not allowed to mention them publicly.lol.Dad is cooking soup and it is smelling sooo good. We're supposed to have chicken pot pie tonight at work, but Mary has to cook because I will bre at the doctor's and she says she doesn't know how to make that. I have a feeling we will have shake and bake. My neighb ourhood has been very quiet lately. Barb has left for Vancouver and dad is reading. Roxy is sleeping. Might be a good time for a bubble bath. I'm leaving you with a joke which you might have heard. This official comes to check out an asylum. He asks the person in charge. "how do you determine whether the person qualifies to be here/". The person in charge says" We fill up a tub of water and give the patient a teaspoon, a bucket and a tea cup and ask them which of these would you use to empty the tub". The prosfessional says "Oh I understand". Normally they would say a bucket". The person running the asylum says to him."You would just pull the drain plug. which side of the room would you like your bed?" Have a good day.

My Angels are watching over me

And so the world turns. Yesterday afternoon as I was going to my job just down the streettfrom our group home, there they were in full force, three cop cars and all the rest of the team. Another grow op house being shut down. About m onth ago, theh ouse right beside our group home was shut down because it was a meth-lab. Can we say explosive? Then I came home from night shift this morning and George informs that he has calledthe police because the grow-op house next door has been broken into again. The door was broken and the chain link fence in the back was removed. Once again the cops came and the public works came with a big digger and had to dig a big hole in the middle of the lawn to permanantly shut off the water. Then the owner came from Vancouver to assess his damage. George was kind enough to go over and help load all his stereo equipment etc. into his van. They had stolen his computer and his chain saw(the one he used in his basement last weekLOL. Oddly enough just the other day George was at WelkMart in Abbotsofrd and 2 shady guys came up to him and said "would you like to by a chain saw for 5 bucks?"LOL. I went to the doctor today and he said to me "You are in better health than TeamCanada"LOL. I told him that doesn't take muchLOL. I hope to spend a quiet evening before going back on night shift

I need a new recipe

Well outside it looks really bleak today, but we are warm inside. I signed up in Church to deliver a hot meal to a new mothers. I am supposed to bring a supper meal to this family, but I'm kind of tired of the old lasagna thing. I wonder if anyone out there has a great casserole dish recipe. This is a miracle baby and I wanted to make it special. The woman has only one tube and the tube she has is blocked since her birth. The doctors told her there was nothing they can do. So they adopted a little boy. Last year at Church they went up for prayer and asked God to do a miracle so she could have a baby. Early this summer she told the congregation she was pregnant. Her docotor wasquite amazed and nows she has delivered a beautiful healthy 7 lb. little girl. So I wanted to make it a little special. Any ideas out there? thanks. Marge
