my own little world

Well it's been awhile since I've written anything. I've been sick for over a week. the doctor said I had an inflamed ribcage. It was very painful. I still don't know if I passed my annual medication test at work. Today I went back to the doctor and he told me to stay home until next Monday. The only reason I can't go to work is because I'm not supposed to lift or pull the clients. So during my time off I have relaxed a lot. George and I also went to to a conference last week that was being held in Abbotsford. The speakers were John and Carol Arnot from the Toronto Fellowship. I gleaned a lot from there. Saturday we went to our friend Janet's wedding. It was really nice. She is 46 yrs old and got married for the first time. I'm so happpy for her. The went to Cuba for a honeymoon. Today we went to our friend Henry Loewen's funeral. It wasn't sad at all. Henry was 82 years old and really loved the Lord. His entire family particiapated in the service, even the great grandchildren. It was really nice. Tonight Barb and I went to Walmart to look for Paige's birthday present but it is hard to find a pregnant Midge doll. But we will keep searching. It's been really nice and relaxing at home. Well I guess it's time to get ready for bed. Hope you all have a good week.

God is Good

Well it's been awhile since I've written. I've been working a lot and studying for my med test. In the meantime I was getting sicker and sicker. My whole chest area was so painful and my upper back. It turns out I have a very inflamed rib cage which goes all across my left back and front. I am now on antibiotics. Since I have so many allergies I can take nothing for the pain. Amidst all of this God gave me a miracle. About a year and half ago I had finger surgery. I went to my Christmas party at work and the next day I noticed that the family ring I was wearing was gone. I felt devastated. I searched for it everywhere outside on the driveway, in my friend's car because she had given me a ride. I went back to the restuarant from the night before, checkd all gutters, turned my house upside down and finally realized it was really gone. I prayed about ita lot the first while and then I forgot about it for about a year. Last week my friend Mary asked me if I had ever found the ring and I said no. The other night I couldn't sleep so I sat up at 5 in the morning and was praying and all of a sudden I found myself asking God about the ring. When I got up to get ready to go and write my test, I went to get socks out of my sock drawer and I saw this ring hiding under my black winter dress gloves. I pulled it out and there it was, the ring!. Needless to say I was so excited and thankful to have it back. I would really like to go to special meetings being held in Abbotsford this week so I hope I will be feel well enough to do this. The sun is shining and I'm l ooking forward to a great day.

sticks and stones

Well you know we used to say sticks and stones can break your bones etc... It seems now stones can heaal your aches and paions and sore bones. The last few days I've had a lot of aches and pains in my upper body. I've decided to let Barb give me a stone therapy treatment . It sounds good to me. Yesterday I celebrated my birthday hopefully for the last time this year. My polyester friends and I went to ABC restuarant for a light lunch. We celebrated three belated birthdays. This was good because there were three free desserts of choice and we shared them among the five of us.lol It was fun. Today I received She is a happy grandmother Sonya and Gary's mother's day card. It was very nice and I want to say thank you very much Sonya. My friend Linda's daughter had her second child on Apr.22nd. , a baby boy named Elias Nathaniel. She is a happy grandmother. I received three books for my birthday so I have many happy hours of reading ahead. Unfortunately I have write my annual medication test at work next Wednesay, so I need to concentrate on my studies for the rest of this week . It is hard to concentrate when the sun is shining and the evenings are nice for so long. Well I have to go and prepare myself for night shift. I wish you all a good week end. God bless you.

Happy Sunday

I hope you all had a great day. I had a wonderful day. The Lord is so good. It was raining this morning when I went to Church. The Pastor spoke on the last message of his series. "Travel light" Removing the garbage out of you pack pack of life. He said make a list of everything that you don't like what people do to you and then cross it off and change saying those are the things I won't do to others. Anyway it was a really good message. In the afternoon my three brothers and their wives came for my birthday celebration. It was a good time as always.I am very fond of my brothers. Once again we all ate too much.LOL. It has been a great week and I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful group of family and friends. Well It's been a long day and now that I'm a year older I had better get ready for bed.

Great Day at the ocean

Well it has been a fantastic day. After I got home from night shift and slept till noon, we ate lunch and off we went to White Rock. The weather was perfect. It was a bit breezy right by the ocean but after a while the sun just warmed us right up. On the way there I mentioned that I wondered if a certain kind of naturally tanned people ever went to the beach. We decided that propably not. To our surprise we hardly set our lawn chairs in place and this family planted themselves close to us. We feltright at home. It was like being at home in our neighbourhood. There were a lot of people there for a weekday. I had my binoculars with me so I could see the few sailing ships and other interesting sites. Later in the day we went and had fish and chips and ate them outside the little cafe. Then we walked down the block to a gourmet ice-cream parlour and had some fancy ice cream cones for dessert. It was so relaxing and refreshing. Thank you George for a great birthday. PS: We all stood and watched the long train go by. How perfect was that. Barb took pictures of it. Now for a relaxing evening. I just wished you could of all been there.

looking forward to tomorrow

It's been a good day. The sun was shining today and I had a day off. Tomorrow is my birthday. I have a feeling that it is going to be great. Today I got a very beautiful card from my nephews in Richmond with a gift certificate for the movies. My friends Alice, Doreen and Mary are taking me out to IHOP for breakfast tomorrow. George is taking Barb and me out for supper on Thursday for our birthdays. On Sunday I'm having my brothers and their wives over for the afternoon and supper. Somewhere in between all of this I need to study for my annual med test at work coming up in 2 weeks. It's really hard to get started on a sunny day. I hope you all had a good day.
