an interesting week

Today was a really nice warm day. I've had a few days off which has been nice. Yesterday George and I went to the denturist to fit him with new dentures. That was an interesting experience. I got to watch the guy do all the fitting. Then we came home and I did some laundry. In the evening I went to a union meeting at ABC restuarant where we got a free supper. That was cool. George went out to McDonald's with his friends Frank and Mike. This morning I slept in because I was so tired. At three oclock in the morning six very immature teenagers were hanging around at the school across the street, breaking bottles, yelling loudly and falling down all over the place. This went on until four o'clock. Today we noticed our birdfeeder in the backyard which was made of plastic had been lit with a lighter and melted. We are grateful they didn't burn down the house. In the afternoon Barb and I went to the berry festival and George put up new motion sensers. We barbecued hamburgers for supper. The other day, Kevin, our neighbour came over to see if we wanted some more cherries and was telli ng us about Sammy his dog. The poor thing wasn't eating anymore and had lost 35 lbs. I told him the dog would probably be gone one of these days. Sure enough today was the day. He had the dog for 16 years. he was pretty upset losing his friend. Tomorrow we are going to my brother Hank's birthday. He is celebrating it early because there are too many birthdays happening in July. I bought him a pretty bird feeder for his immaculate back yard and two purdy chocolate bars. Well I'm going to take a rest before I go and do my night shift. Happy week end.

my own little world

Just bringing you up tp date over the last few days. On Thursday I slept from night shift in the morning. After lunch our sister-in-lawand her sister and her brother and wife from Richmond came out for the day to visit. Later in the eveing we all went to ABC restuarant for supper. We had a geat time. Friday I worked in the afternoon with my friend Mary so it was a great shift. I worked during the day on Canada Day so I missed the parade. I was glad that George and Barb managed to go. I baked 6 dozen snicker doodle cookies for our clients and an Angle Food cake before lunch. After lunch I took the ladies to the back yard and read to them. It was nice and relaxing. Last night Kevin our neighbour came over and told George to bring his ladder and said he could pick as many bing cherries as he liked. So we had a real feast. Thank you Kevin. This morning we went off to Church and when we got there, there was nobody there because they had all gone to Cultus Lake for Church and picnic. We missed last week because both George and I had chest infections and were on antibiotics and so we were not aware of this. So we came home and decided we would just go to the Vineyard at the MEI. After Church, George, Barb and I had lunch At McDonald's, came home changed clothes, picked up Roxy and went to the cemetery to look for Uncle Walter's headstone. It was so hot and after sometime we just gave up. We then went down the road to pop in and visit our friends Frank and Barb. We had a nice visit and came home to rest. I am so thank ful for our cool house. Have a good week.
