Hi again. I'm back. I hope nobody is too squeamish. This is a picture of Barb's bag of blood. Tuesday afternoon I drove Barb to the hospital for her to have her phlebotomy. For thosewho are not familiar with this procedure, a pint of blood is taken from Barb. This takes about 45 min to an hour. I just sit in the waiting room and read outdated magazines. they saidokayand put it in a big brown paper bag and off we went. Then we drove to Jean Hood's place(Barb's former landlady). We picked up their housekey so Barb can go and take care of Granny on Thursday afternoon. We went to buy fruit and salad fixings for Barb's diet . When we came home we showed the blood to George and he was quite facinated. We had barbecued hamburgers(only one each on whole wheat buns and a tossed salad. No dessert. After supper George mixed the blood with water and watered our flowers with some of it. I hope this will help the marigold to do better. They are almost dead. Barb saved a bit of the blood. I don't know for what. Today I walked to Clearbrook across the school yard and wished I would have had a camera. There was one very elderly Indo Canadian woman sitting on the swing in the playground swinging. She was in a world of her own, her ancient overweight body gently swaying in the breeze. Across the street the children were having a special treat. A woman arrived with a shopping car holding four very large watermelons. Another woman helped her push the cart up the handicap ramp and into the school. I was once again very tempted to go across the street and suggest they have rollkuchen with that. It's been nice and hot the last few days. Tomorrow my sister in law Gretchen is coming out from Richmond with her sister and brother and we are all going out for supper. I'm looking forward to their visit. Well I better go as I have to get ready to go to work on my night shift. Yeh, my clients will be waiting for me and I don't want to disappoint them. Have a great day tomorrow.
