fourty years of marriage

Today we celebrate 40 years of marriage. There have been many good times and also there have been difficult times, but we have perservered well. This has been only by the grace of God. We didn't go away this year because we went on a Mexican cruise last November instead. So we celebrated a year earlier. We have great memories. I had to work 4 hours on Friday nite staying with Wendy at the hospital. Apparently the docotor disovered an irregular heart beat. Yesterday I made a beautiful roast dinner with all the trimmings and we had an M&M too tall chocolate truffle cake for dessert. We go out to eat a lot so I thought it would be more meaningful to make a nice meal. George really appreciated it. Later in the evvening Barb and I walked down the road to our neighbours, Nick and Maria. We were concerned about them. Nick is dying of prostate cancer and we found out the doctor is giving him about three weeks to live. Please pray for the family. They really love the Lord but this is a difficult time for the youngest girl, Nicky. She is only eleven years old. This morning we had communion at Church. It was really a beautiful service.
