I'm back

The last week has been quite a mixed bag. I got my med test back last week and was pleasantly surprised to find out I got 100%. Thank you for all of you that prayed for me. That's over for another year. Last week end we received sad news. Our friends Jim and Lynn Duckworth just moved to Alberta in October. They had lived here for about 15 years. He was going to retire. It turned out Lynn had a cyst on her gallbladder which was discovered before she moved. She was waiting for them to phone from Vancouver confirming a date. In the beginning of this week she got real sick and they flew her to Vancouver. The cyst had burst. It was apparently the size of a grapefruit. When they went in to clean everything up they relaized the large cyst was completely full of cancer. The next day they opened her up again and found that the cancer was growing and the doctors could actually see it grow in front of their eyes. The sad thing is two days later she died. She was not even 60 years old. She opened her eyes once when they told her the news and she closed them and never opened them again. I worked night shift last nite and all our clients have the cold. Most of the staff was sick last week including myself. One client even ended up in the hospital for the nite. I missed a baby shower for a former co-worker. This week I have also been shopping for my samaritan purse box. That is always fun. We got a new dishwasher and it is now installed. We bought it at Sears and I got double points on my card plus they gave me a 50 dollar gift card. How nice is that. I'm looking forward to Christmas shopping. I've already bought my cards and will soon be busy writing them up. I wish you all a good week end.

I know, I can't stop thinking about how fast things went for Lynn. Poor Jim. I'm glad you are feeling better :)

That is so sad and so shocking about Lynn.

Congrats on your med test. I always knew you'd do well! :)

I figured out that I knew the name from my husband Roger, he had dealt with Jim back when he worked for the City.
