What a great day
Yesterday was such a great day. It was really perfect. I slept in and then Roxy and I went and sat out under the grapevine with my jacket on and let the sun warm our faces. At lunchtime I got this great idea to go to White rock. I didn't have to persuade anyone. We packed up gloves , leftover halloween snacks and took Barb's new Christmas CD which she got from her chemo angel Brenda. We played that music all the way in and sang along with it. It was nice at White Rock because hardly anyone was there. It was a bit chilly at first but we soon warmed up walking along the boardwalk. The water was stirring quite a bit and I went and felt it. As we were walking we saw a woman about 50 years old or so, very suntanned doing the hoola hoop. She smiled and we waved at her. Then we also saw the passenger train up close. We waved and the train blew it's whistle several times causing several car alarms to go off. That was quite interesting. We walked for a little over an hour and on the way back the lady was still doing the hoola hoop. We decided to go to the only fish and chip place that was open and sat outside and enjoyed our meal. We drove home to the sound of the Christmas music. For pictures see Barb's blog. I forgot to mention that in the in the morning George went out and came home with a beautiful large bouquet of flowers for our anninversay Thank you George. I must say what a lovely day.

The pictures were beautiful! I must say though, it strikes me as a bit of an odd combination...White Rock & Christmas music. Hmmm...
