remembering the past
Once again this week has already been eventful. Sunday I was called to work because one of our clients, namely W. ended up in the emergency. Last week we had a different client in the hospital. W. couldnt walk. She is non verbal and she seemed in a lot of pain. She woke up with three big lumps. One on each thigh and one on her shoulder and blotches all over her legs. So I had to do my afternoon shift at the hospital. She was in a bed and behind the next curtain was a women with the flu who just kept passing very loud gas. It was hard to concentrate on W. W.s mom was there with me the whole time. Barb came up and brought me supper and stayed for awhile. It's been 2 days and even the specialist is baffled. Tonight Barb and I picked up my friend Mary and went back up to visit W. Then we all went White Spot for supper. My friend Lynne's funeral is on Friday and this made us thinking of people we had lost. George's mom, Grandma Krahn passed away 5 years. We got out the video and watched the funeral. I had forgotten how hectic it was. Grandma was buried in the morning, memorial in the afternoon and George's 65th birthday in the evening. Sonya and Barb had to leave during the memorial to go home and put in the cabbage rolls and pick up the cake. All the relatives from the funeral came to the birthday. Then George and I sat and played a tape that we made of Sonya and Barb singing. We started the tape when Barb could barely talk and each year or so we would add onto it until they were about 13yrs. It made me feel so melancholy to listen to their young voices talking and singing. A good memory. One day I plan to play the tape for Cam and Paige. Tomorrow I have to hand out treats at work. That will be fun. Today when we driving to the hospital we saw some teenagers and one boy was dressed up like a black and white cow. He even had the teats sewn on. There were no words to describe it. This was in broad daylight. My mug of chocolate milk is empty so it's it time to go. Blessings to you all. Happy All Saints eve.

I miss gramma a lot. It's nice that we have the video of her funeral to watch, for those times we miss her.

Grandma's funeral is such a blur to me now. It WAS a hectic day! I mostly remember Dad's party and all the relatives at the house. What a fun time!
I hope W's going to be ok. Very strange symptoms indeed.

Hope you had a good time handing out candy at work last night. :) My brother and I made tapes of ourselves singing and talking too because I got a tape recorder for Christmas one year. I think I still have them somwhere!
