Am interesting surprise

Yesterday when I came home from night shift, it was pouring rain. I figured I would stay up and make chicken soup. Well I go out to the freezer and bring back a bagof chicken breasts. I open it up and remove a couple of large pieces of chicken. AsI go to close it, I'm wondering what is that gold string. Upon inspection it is a frozen gold neck chain. Yes, you heard me right. Well I unthawed it out and took a close look at it. We all agreed it was nice. Finally Barb convinced me to go and have it checked out for value. It turns out it was not real gold, but gold plated. The clerk at the jewellery store admitted it was still a fine chain. It was in the bag open making me think some poor girl was wearing it on the assembly line and it fell off. So that's the story about my chicken chain. In the afternoon I went with George to the specialist. He has to go for some tests (nothing serious). Nov.21st he will have day surgery. Today I came home again from night shift and slept an hour , had lunch and then the three of us went to my friend Lynne's memorial. It was awsome. I took mental notes for when it's my turn. Great eulogy. Great worship. Then the band played Lynnes favorite songs and I thought we were at a revival meeting. I never heard such a great drumroll when we all belted out "Do Lord or Do Lord". When we sang"I'll fly away to Glory" I thought surely at that moment God was going to open the heavens and snatch us all home. The city provided all the food because Jim had worked for them so long and believe you me it was some spread . Thank you City of Abbotsford. In the evening Barb and I went to warehouse one . She wanted to buy a top with her gift certificate but we came home empty handed. Well I better get some rest. Tomorrow morning it's back to work. Wendy is still in the hospital and my manager flew off tonight to Australia for a month. Am I jealous? Yes. Well Karen, here's to you and kangaroos. Have a good weekend all of you.

Sounds like a great Funeral. Or as good as one could be. God sure knows how to make his presence known. May his peace and love of that day continue to bless you in the days to come.
