An eventful day
We were all up before seven o'clock today except for the dog. Barb had her shower and George and I ate breakfast. The dog went for a walk and then it was time to head out to the hosiptal. After signing in Barb had to gown up and sit with her long green operating stockings and gown and blue slippers with her IV pole in the waiting room until ten o'clock. Her surgery was supposed to be at nine but it got changed. George took a picture of Barb which you will see much later. The surgery was until 11:30 when Dr. Ahum came out and said all was well. we went home for lunch and I did some laundry and phoning and back we went at 1:30pm. She was still sleeping. I met a lot of interesting people today in the waiting rooms. I was amazed at all the activity that goes on in those hallways. Barb woke up at two o'clock but fell asleep again almost immediately. I went back after supper and she looked liked she was in a lot of pain. Her pain monitor ran out of batteries so she was not too pleased for awhile. She has a room with 3 other very chatty ladies who have a lot of chatty friends. Barb tried to put in her contact lenses but blood pressure wrist band fell off and a loud noise went off so that was cancelled until tomorrow. She managed to get her navel ring back in. Then Dr. Gill came on behalf of Dr. Ahman and said the surgery went well and ordered blood thinners. Then I gave her a nice exotic coconut massage on her legs and feet. We are pictures for later. She says tomorrow she is ready for company. She is in room 204 second floor east wing.I am now ready for a long bubble bath. George has gone to his Thursday men's meeting so it's nice and quiet here tonight. Blessings to you all.
